Director and Secretary of ALIET Rev.Fr.Dr.B. Joji Reddy, S.J emphasizes the role of collaboration in promoting learning and cultural exchange
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Andhra Loyola Institute of Engineering and Technology (ALIET), in collaboration with the Departments of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AIML), successfully concluded a three-day Faculty Exchange Programme from 17th to 19th July 2025.
Titled “Fortifying the Future: Cybersecurity Foundations & the Shifting Digital Threat Landscape,” the programme benefited over 640 students from ALIET’s premier engineering branches. The exchange initiative was jointly organized with Xavier Institute of Engineering (XIE), Mumbai, marking a significant step in inter-institutional collaboration.
Two esteemed faculty members from XIE — Dr. Chhaya Narvekar, IQAC Coordinator, and Dr. Vaishali Gaikwad, Dean of Research — led the sessions. They provided a comprehensive overview of key cybersecurity areas including the nature and impact of cyber threats, malware and ransomware attacks, ethical hacking fundamentals, phishing and vishing techniques, and cyberbullying awareness. Students also gained hands-on experience in cybercrime forensics and data recovery techniques, equipping them with practical skills to navigate today’s digital threat landscape.
Director and Secretary of ALIET Rev. Fr. Dr. B. Joji Reddy, S.J expresses gratitude to XIE Director Rev. Fr. Dr. John Rose, S.J during the valedictory function.
An engaging Kahoot quiz added a fun and competitive element to the programme, with enthusiastic participation from students. 5 winners from each branch were selected for the upcoming Student Exchange Programme to XIE, Mumbai, recognizing their outstanding performance.
